Summary: The challenge of this project is to link the physicochemical properties of the ingredients and the formulation to the physicochemical, mechanical and sensory properties of the compacts. Initially, the aim will be to select ingredients (powders and binders) with very different behaviors for the development of model formulations of cosmetic pressed powders. Physicochemical characterization tests (granulometric analyses, flowability, specific surface area, morphology, wettability, etc.) will be conducted in order to determine their initial properties before implementing the manufacturing processes. In a second phase, model pressed powders defined by experimental design will be manufactured. Finally, standard characterization tests on the finished product will be conducted.
