Assistant engineer: optimization of tumour spheroids for the evaluation of new therapies

Supervision: Dr. Giovanna LOLLO, Dr. Thomas Dehoux

 

In the context of a project PlanCancer two laboratories will work together:

 

LAGEPP-Equipe Gepharm: The LAGEPP-Equipe Gepharm is dedicated to the study innovative systems as nanomedicines fort the encapsulation of therapeutics

ILM: iLM is a laboratory specialized in physics and chemistry and is developing research on the evaluation of spheroids properties

 

Objective

The project is aimed at optimizing tumour spheroids as tools for the evaluation of new therapies based on nanomedicines.

The recruited engineer will study in vitro the efficiency of different nanosystems using biological and biophysical methods. He will have to apply analyses adapted to this specific study.

 

Mission descriptions:

  • Preparation of nanomedicines and spheroid characterization
  • Data analysis
  • Comprehension and development of experimental plans with statutory researchers and post-doc
  • Participation in the drafting of protocols with statutory researchers

 

We are looking for a profile with solid foundations in:

  • Formulation
  • Writing and analysis of technical reports
  • Cell culture is a plus

 

He/she has to

  • Integrate into two multidisciplinary teams
  • Have the ability to work in a team
  • Capacity to work autonomously

 

Candidate profile:

Bachelor’s degree in biotechnology, pharmacy, biology, chemistry or equivalent

First experience possible.
