The port-Hamiltonian approach uses the physical structure of technological systems for the structured modelling and energy-based control of complex, interconnected and heterogeneous multi-physical systems. It adresses PhD students, PostDocs, and advanced Master students from engineering and applied mathematics, who are interested in the state of the art and current research topics in the fields
- Control of distributed parameter systems
- Structure-preserving numerical methods for multi-physics systems
- Port-Hamiltonian formulation of irreversible thermodynamic processes
Focus topics with lectures, student presentations and round table discussions will be irreversible thermo-dynamics and GENERIC (Tuesday) and Differential Algebraic Systems (Thursday).
It is supported by the French-German University ( https://www.dfh-ufa.org/) and co-organized by the University of Lyon (B. Maschke, LAGEPP) and the Technical University of Munich (P. Kotyczka, Automatic Control Department).
