Title: Stabilization of infinite dimension systems with saturated control.
Abstract: This seminar focuses on the asymptotic stability analysis of infinite dimension systems, including in particular some models of EDPs, with saturated control. In particular, we will construct Lyapunov functionals for such systems, which will allow us to accurately estimate the trajectory decay. It is already known in finite dimension that neglecting such non-linearities, which often appear in practice, can lead to undesirable behaviors. Naturally, additional difficulties appear for the infinite dimension. In a first part, I will talk about general conditions to ensure this stability for abstract systems (i.e. defined with general differential operators). One of the most important conditions is the growth of non-linearity. In a second part, we will study a particular system, namely a wave equation in dimension 1 of space. We will no longer assume the growth property, which will lead to a completely different analysis than the one proposed in the first part. Let us note that removing this growth property allows us to take into account the case where there are modeling errors on non-linearity.
